How about a brainstorming session for this stuff...and this stuff
alone. Good ideas happen better in community than behind our
isolated laptops. : > |

Maybe we should stop trying to organize and allow for the
uniqueness that God has given us. |

Maybe we should devote a year to prayer, fasting, humbling
ourselves, and asking God why our conference is in this condition. |

Maybe we should be so concentrating on following God and such an
example to others they will want to know about our God. |

maybe we should figure out what the real needs of the churches are
and attempt to meet them. maybe we should ask the question: when
the ibc dissolves, what will the main problems be and attempt to
strategically answer those questions. |

Make a decision and stick with that decision. In the overall
scheme of things, the conference or the district is not important.
Reaching the lost for Jesus is. |

Maybe we should make more of an effort to connect with
unaffiliated Baptist churches by setting up one-day seminars in
different parts of the state on a variety of issues such as clergy
burnout, church planting, building gracious givers, etc. We could
mail invitations to area pastors of unaffiliated Baptist churches,
perhaps with a follow up phone call. |

Maybe we should... have a time of prayer together (at Annual mtg
delegates) to see what God would have us to do. |

strong in Iowa. |
