Maybe we should see what we can do as the IBC with the monies we
have. If we have over spent our income, look why the leadership
did that and see what we can cut. |
|
P |
Simply make 3% of budget the "membership fee" to enjoy IBC
services, etc. |
|
P |
Maybe we should decentralize the responsibilities and cut back the
paid staff by requiring the Overseers or Head Coaches to function
as spiritual leaders, pastors-beside-pastors, in their region. |
|
|
|
|
P |
Maybe we should make the IBC consist of a minimum partnership on
the part of the churches and therefore if churches decline
partnership covenant then they are not part of he IBC. |
|
P |
maybe we should divide the conference into smaller sections and
have the "DEM" position be covered by a few pastors and a stipend
added to their salary through the IBC. This would eliminate many
of the things that IBC has to offer but would provide the
connection necessary to remain as a distinct district. This would
spin Pine Lake off as a solo ministry, responsible for its own
fund raising/marketing. mini conferences would have the ability
to bring other Baptist churches into their fold. |

As I understand one line of thought,
there is consideration to ask some churches to either make a
commitment to the conference if we merge, or asking that they
affiliate somewhere else. Perhaps this should be done sooner
rather than later. Perhaps, we also need a model where those who
choose to stay affiliated should also commit to supporting the
conference, financially and otherwise. |

Provide cohesive state wide men's ministry support and direction. |

Make a decision and stick with that decision. In the overall
scheme of things, the conference or the district is not important.
