IBC Staff

DISTRICT EXECUTIVE MINISTER:  Skip Hansen came on board as the District Executive Minister on January 1, 2001.  Skip brings a passion and the gift for encouraging, equipping, and empowering individuals to utilize their God given gifts and talents to serve God in the ministries He calls them to.  Skip's strong faith and leadership abilities equip him well for the job!

Previously, Skip and his wife, Linda, planted & pastored churches in Alamosa CO, Guernsey, WY, and most  recently, Decorah, IA.

Skip received his BA from King's College, NY, and an MA from Denver Seminary.  Skip and Linda have two adult daughters and one grandson, Gretchen & Chris Hunt and Nathan (living in Minneapolis) and Heidi & Chris Pappas (living in Washington, D.C.).

IOWA
      BAPTIST CONFERENCE ADMINISTRATOR:  Sue Shaw began her role as 
      Administrator for the IBC & PLCC in September 2001.  Sue brings a 
      passion to support Skip and the PLCC staff in the roles God has called 
      them to... and to serve and assist the IBC churches as they seek to grow 
      spiritually and to expand the Kingdom of God in Iowa.
      
      

      Sue came to the IBC following a career as a Juvenile Probation Officer,
      and most recently as the Associate Minister and, subsequently, the Interim
      Administrative Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Decorah.

      

      Sue received a BLS from the University of Iowa, and an MDiv from
          Bethel Seminary.  She and her husband, Rick, have six children,
      four son-in-laws, and
          six grandchildren!

CAMP
      DIRECTOR:  Roger and Cathy Sutton have a long 
    history with the IBC...  they both grew up in an IBC church, Roger 
    attended PLCC as a kid, and... they met at PLCC during a winter retreat!

      

      Roger has served as the Camp Manager for 
      over 9 years... and Cathy oversees the camp store, assists with  housekeeping and 
      oversees programming for Family Retreat Weekends and the Junior's Winter 
      Retreat. 

    

      Roger and Cathy have a serious love for the ministry of 
      Christian camping... and put in long hours
      providing a quality facility at Pine Lake.

      and Nathan.

          FOOD SERVICE MANAGER:  Diana Goodell joined the IBC team 
          in June of 2001... and what an impact she has had on the food service 
          department!  Cooking is not something new to Diana, however, as 
          she started helping her Dad in the family Bakery at the age of SIX! 

        

        

          

          Dianna says she, "eats,
            sleeps, and dreams" cooking!!!  Her skills and creativity,
            combined with her passion to serve God, provide a tremendous asset
            to the PLCC ministry. 

        

        

          

          Diana and Mike have 5
            children, 3 daughter-in-laws, and 4 grandchildren.
